Upgrading GPU(s)

cortexcortex

Hello,

So, with the release of pascal, I'll be upgrading my GPUs. I'll buy 2 or 3 GPU's to run on SLI. Anyways, I was wondering if I should just get the 1080 once it's out or wait for the "Titan"? If so, around when would it be released?

def get 1080. wouldn't recommend sli because for 1 it is not needed because it is already overkill, 2 most games wont benefit from it, and 3 it is not stable. Titan is way to expensive and if you really need that much power then wait for the ti edition

Well, if he or she upgraded to one 1080 he's actually be losing performance.

Both of his rigs have 980 Ti SLI. Check his signature.

I see... Then i'd wait for the 1080ti and put it into sli if you need more than you already have, which by the way found very unusual

My 980 Ti SLI will soon start getting lower framerates in games, I also want full DX12 compatibility. Anyways, I'll be changing to 4k though; my 980 Ti SLI isn't enough to run 4k at a steady framerate. I also don't just use the GPU for gaming :P

Just wait for the GTX 1080 reviews and overclocking results.
