Which fans should I be using?

Which fans should I be using for my build? The SP series or the AF series? I personally think the AF series for case fans and the SP series for the heatsink on my Hyper 212 Evo! Am I right?

AF Series: Case Fans

SP Series: Heatsink Fans

So i am assuming you are talking about corsair fans, but there are other manufacturers that makes great fans as well. For example, noctua makes exelent quiet fans.

Yeah, I'm talking about Corsair fans! I'm doing this because I have a color theme going on (With the rings)

If you are using the fan mounts where there are air filters, I would get the SP series to get better airflow.

Between those two, you are correct.

AF = Air Flow = High CFM = Good at moving unimpeded, free-flowing air = Good case fan

SP = Static Pressure = High Static Pressure (Shockingly enough) = Good at forcing air through a tight space = Good heatsink fan

The general consensus in here, though, for heatsink fans is: you can't see them, and want bonus points from Linus, use Noctuas. If you can see them, and care about appearance, then use Gentle Typhoons.

I can give the GT1850's a personal recommendation, too :)

But if you're set on your colour scheme, then you are, indeed, on the right path.
