Need some help

jetstarkiller

Sorry to repost but nobody answer and I really need some help.

Ok, so I build my computer in January and it has been running like a dream. However yesterday I was watching a youtube video and it the sound was strange like scattering.

I restarted my computer and the first MSI screen scatter (like a very slow loading page) and it takes much longer to turn on my computer. As soon as I am on the windows starting screen it works normal again. What could cause that? is it fixable?

I am going to take a video of it so you guys can see what I am talking about

I am uploading the video. It took 1:20 to boot :(

Thanks in advance

PC config:

I7 6700k OC 4.4ghz

MSI Z170A M7

Samsung Evo ssd

2x8gb Corsair vengeance

Titan X hybrid

Corsair AX 860

Did this just happen out of the blue? Did the actual PC performance change also or is it just the boot up that is slow?

Yeah it happened 2 days ago. I was watching youtube the sound of the video was messed up. Restarted my computer and it took forever to boot.

Performance have not changed. And I scanned for malware and viruses.

It just boot very slow... Used to be like 15-20s top.

It must be the SSD. Open up the PC and check that the SATA cable is connected properly.

Ok I am going to check that. It would be weird as it has been working great since January and I have not moved my pc.

Well I unplugged the SSD plug it back in. Still the same.

I tried with another sata cable still the same.

I think that the issue is with the SSD then. I cannot confirm it 100%. I would recommend taking the PC to a repair shop and then they can do a better diagnostics.

Sorry that I cannot be of more help.

Should I try to boot it from another drive. I have some hard drives that would not be fast but it should not take 1:20 even with a hard drive?

Also if it was the SSD should my computer be slow all the time? and not just during the boot.

~Yes! Try that. If the other hard drives also have issues, then it is a motherboard issue. But if the hard drive is a HDD, please note that it does not take 10 seconds to boot up like a SSD.
