i5 6500 RAM

On ark.intel.com (http://ark.intel.com/products/88184/Intel-Core-i5-6500-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_60-GHz) it list the processor as supporting RAM up to 2133. However, I've seen stuff on the internet, here for example:

 showing performance increases using faster RAM than that. What's the deal?

You can use DDR4 memory that's as fast as you want. My CPU lists its fastest speed as 1866MHz I think but there are many cases of people using much faster memory without problems.

Oh, OK thanks. Do you know why Intel list this? Can it cause problems or something

Intel lists this as a good average speed I think. It won't cause any problems if you use faster RAM.
