RAM question

Well, i guess i solved it by just tinkering with it. Now windows picks up 16GB in A2 and B2.

So, here i am with a new motherboard, an Asus Z170-A and two sticks of 8GB  Crucial Ballistix Tactical DDR4.

 

My question is, does it matter if i place my RAM in DIMM_A1 and DIMM_A2. The reason for this being, my system doesn't detect both, if the RAM is placed in A1 and B1 for example. Will this configuration affect performance, or am i fine?

It has recommended memory configurations depicting one stick in A2 and one in B2.
