Help needed: PC is failing to run games

Trying to run Dota 2 and TF2 on my self-built PC, but both games cause my PC to freeze. They both play for ~2-3 minutes into a game before freezing. I don't have a graphics card but other internet forums say that this shouldn't really be a problem. I've tried validating the files in the games, entering commands in 'launch options' from Steam, running the game from the .exe file, etc. but nothing seems to work.

My PC's specs:
Intel Core i5 6400 (not OC'd)
8 GB RAM (DDR4)
1 TB SSHD (Hybrid Drive)

Running Windows 10(64 bit), and the Intel graphics drivers have been installed. It passed an MSI Kombustor 3 stress test so it doesn't seem to be an issue with the on-board graphics in itself, so I don't know what to do at this point.

Update: I've updated my Motherboard BIOS as well, that hasn't changed anything.

hm normally shouldn't be an issue for you're pc as i see from specs. Try validating the game files. Uninstall intel graphics driver using DDU, and reinstall them. IDK what else to suggest tbh. Maybe fresh windows install

I've done each of those things, twice. Gonna wait for a while before I re-install windows though, if I have to.

Here's a picture of task manager at the point where my screen froze. There doesn't seem to be much wrong.... :/

Are games on SDD or hard drive ?

It's a hybrid drive. Basically 1 TB of storage, on which the games are

Your system is set up correctly?

Correct ram speed, timings and volts?

It's not a race to the bottom.

Yeah it seems like it. It runs fine for all non-gaming purposes
