Mid Tower Case with Micro ATX Motherboard

Hello everyone.

Pretty much still rather new at building pcs but I just wanted to ask a rather small question.

Obviously Micro ATX Motherboards fit inside a PC Case that supports ATX and Micro ATX Motherboards but I heard that it would be better to put an ATX Board inside that Pc Case that suppots both the ATX and Micro ATX (aka it's better to not put a smaller board inside a larger case.)

I just wanted to quickly ask what the downsides are of putting a small board aka Micro ATX, inside a Mid Tower Case (that supports both ATX and Micro ATX) and yes maybe the answer might be obvious but I am still learning about part compabilities and so on.

Anyway Thanks for the help and I hope you have a good day.

Oh okay then. I thought it was going to be rather a thing of "If I use a small board then X or Y will be harder or more difficult" but yes I have to admitt the Micro ATX Board inside a Mid Tower Case does look pretty stupid.

Hardly a downside though. Anything over 2 way usually has diminishing returns.
