Opera browser acting weird, need your help.

So my trusty Opera browser has been acting weird lately. If I remember correctly it's been going since I upgraded to Windows 10 but from the symptoms I don't think the new Win is causing the issue. My problem is that if I open pages I get a message in the upper left hand corner saying 'I am alive!'. It appears randomly couldn't find a pattern in it. I ran Avast! SecureAplus, and Malware Bytes Anti Malware but they found a whole lot of nothing. Additionally I have Heimdal as well. It doesn't seem to appear if I use Edge. I tried reinstalling my browser and it didn't help at all. I reset my router which was only good for getting rid of the SSL errors I was getting as well. So if any of you has an idea of what may be causing this or how to fix it I'm all ears, since it is really annoying.

Ps: twitch.tv is not loading the streams 99% of the time despite me having a 500/250 internet, but thats a different story.

Thanks to anyone who read it.

Well your first issue is using Opera.

Your second issue is using Windows 10

Your third issue Was using Edge.

Joking aside, have you looked up the message online to see if others have reported the issue?

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Solitaire.

Thanks guys, I would rather stay with Opera since I've been using it for several years now, but if all else fails I'll jump to something else. Googling it was my first thing to do but no luck with that sadly. The stuff I found was either old and unsolved or it was Linux related or the combination of the 2.

Check if there are any suspicious plug-ins at opera://plugins/ and extensions at opera://extensions/

Yes, because Chrome can't have any issues or get malware via plug-ins. /s

'Widevine Content Decryption Module' is the only thing I'm not sure about, and I only have Youtube magic actions and uBlock for extensions, but I've been using those for years without any truble.

I have Widevine Content Decryption Module too. Seems like it comes bundled with Opera.

That's pretty weird to say the least. If Malwarebytes doesn't detect anything, it's either tampered or the problem is with your router or ISP.

You can try changing your DNS to OpenDNS and see if the issue still persists. - https://use.opendns.com/

Thanks, I'll try this tomorrow, since it's already way too late on this side of the globe. If that doesn't fix it maybe I'll write to Opera support if that's a thing.

Okay, so I flushed my DNS cache in windows, and set up the open dns, everything seems to be working fine now, hopefully it stays that way. Thanks for the help.

Well it didn't take too long, back at that 'I am alive' thing again, I'll try to contact Opera see if they have anything.
