Whats the best macbook to buy for some lite video editing?

Even the 12inch macbook seems to handle it fine. To save some money, id go for a used Mac Mini...but then i noticed you said a LAPTOP so...

Please vote for Donald Trump. I am out of sitcoms to watch.

When lyfe gives you HDDs, make SSDs

The Retina Display is one of the best features of their lineup imo...The guy only wants it for light video editing, surely he'll appreciate a better display for other activities...

More pixels equals more pixel to push equals more gpu needed plus less battery life.

Yeah but they're beautiful pixels.......+ Even a used retina mac gives around 6-8 hrs worth battery life.

I agree with the more GPU part, but again, he said light video editing....He wont be encoding all day

Ok, great suggestions. I was looking at the

Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display MJLT2LL/A 15.4" Laptop

With:

  • Intel Core i7 Quad Core Processor 2.5GHz
  • Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite
  • 16GB DDR3L-1600 Onboard RAM
  • 512GB Flash Storage
  • AMD Radeon R9 M370X
  • SDXC Card Slot
  • 802.11ac Wireless
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • 15.4" LED-backlit IPS Display

But I think its over kill and to expensive.
