More storage in Xbox 360

Kudlaty14

Hello. My Xbox 360 has got a little storage inside and I want to increase it by plugging in another HDD from outside by SATA input. My question is: does Xbox decipher this hard drive? I'm not going to use drive from Microsoft, only from another firm (Western City for example), because it's too expensive.

It has to be a Microsoft certified drive.

Spoiler

It's Western Digital not Western City lol.

Hey there :)

The console needs a supported drive as an internal one. However, you can add external drives via the USB port for expanding the storage space and the connection speed is perfectly good for a smooth gaming sessions. I could suggest checking out WD Elements Portable, WD Elements Desktop and WD My Passport X as all three drives are fully compatible with the console and should work great for expanding its capacity. The Passport X is specifically designed for that purposes are requires no formatting or setting up before you can store your games on it.

Feel free to ask if there are any questions :)
