This is kind of intresting, mostly because it should be realeasing this year but certanly not much has been said about it.

I wonder what your thoughts are, This is probably how i see it.

Kaby Lake is probably going to be a "haswell refresh" for skylake maybe, I mean what new has came out in 6 months?

Zen is cool too, but there was a picture ( i cant find it ) on the AMD site that said "2 core for essential, 4-8 core for mainstream, 8 - 16 for enthusiasts, and 16-32 for servers"

i think its kinda off, it should have been like this ( i think this bc the 8350 x 10 = 6600k ) 2 is crap, 4-8 is essential, 8-16 is mainstream and 16-32 is for servers. As for the enthusiasts, why did you go for amd???

Also id like to say that broadwell-e is coming soon. (6960x??)

edit

do you have more sources/rumors?

Contrary to popular hype, I'm not expecting Zen to "beat" or "destroy" Intel top to bottom. I don't think that's the right approach for AMD anyway, considering their financial and process node disadvantage.

All I'm expecting Zen to be, is to give the Core i5-6500 and anything below it a run for it's money, while being Haswell level efficient or better. That's it. I'm expecting Zen to be a very compact, very power efficient and very cheap to manufacture processor that can reach Haswell level IPC (at least), be a great fit in thin and light notebooks (<- that is the important part) as well as giving desktop users the performance (and cores) they demand, all at a competitive price. That, in my opinion, is the correct approach AMD should take, and I believe they are on the right track. ^_^

Kaby Lake? I dunno. Intel is boring nowadays.

Skylake was a major disappointment. Everyone hyped how Skylake is gonna be the next Sandy Bridge, and bring massive performance improvements and what not, since it was a brand new architecture. Well... nothing happened.

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

Only yours, you don't shitpost on the same level that we can, mainly because this thread is finally dead and should be locked.

I wasn't wrong. It's extremely rare that I am. I provided sources as well. Different devs can disagree. Further, we now have confirmed discrepancy from Twitter about he use of the pre-release 1080 driver in AMD's demo despite the release 1080 driver having been out a week prior.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. He acts totally different in his videos. I don't necessarily care for this content style and there is nothing really unique about him or his channel. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.
