New PC

if you get the unlocked one, make it go to 4.5ghz or something

if you wanna get a locked one, the i5 6500 is a good sweetspot, the 6600 offers 100mhz more for $20~30-ish more

Yeah.. I will stick to like 4GHz and when I can afford a better cooling, I will go for MAX oc >:)

And also, I have never built a PC before and I actually want to do stuff like this as a job one day. Do you think that it would be reasonable to build it myself, or should I pay some guy $70 to build it?

if you're confident and follow one of linus' build guide, you should be able to finish building in 3~4 hours

i finished my build in 1~2 hours, it depends on how familiar are you with pc hardware

personally i would build it myself, just so i know how to fix it if something goes wrong

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
