So Many Networks

Any idea why I have so many disconnected networks showing up in my settings? I only got one Ethernet port and I don't understand where these others are coming from. I'm a bit OCD which is the only reason I'm asking; I don't like unused stuff just chilling there. Internet works like a charm but it's puzzling to me.

Any thoughts? Running Windows 10 Pro x64 if that helps.

Unplugging and plugging back in does that for me. Don't know why. Just delete all the ones except the one you're using.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Huh, makes sense. I did a lot of moving around and unplugged it probably two dozen times. I figured it wasn't anything life threatening, but wasn't sure if I could get rid of the extra ones without causing issues. I'll give it a try though, thanks.

"TAP" usually refers to OpenVPN protocol. Have you installed any VPN software on your PC?

None, I don't deal with VPNs or anything like that.

EDIT: I can't delete the extra stuff, it'll only give me the option to disable. So now I'm back to being slightly worried about so many connections.

According to a few other forums, it looks like they are related to OpenVPN so if you or nobody else installed them I would be concerned about other software installing tunneling protocols on your computer.

TAP-Win32 Adapter V9 is virtual network connection for OpenVPN.

Huh, interesting. Wonder how it got past all my defenses. Better start scrubbing I guess; thanks for the info.
