So I got my router replaced and had my ethernet cable routed under my carpet to get it out of site. The router is online and working but my computer can't establish an ethernet connection. I have all the updated drivers. My LAN port is blinking and everything so the cable and LAN port is fine. I tested the computer with other ethernet cables and it did the same thing. The ethernet cord that I used with the computer works with my old laptop. Everything worked before.  The Comcast guy came and couldn't figure it out. What do I do?

sounds like an "ip" issue, go into the adapter settings and either change the ip4/6 or set to to automatic not manual OR go into the router and set it to either use dynamic dchp or manually enter the mac and ipv4 of your PC

Your issue is most likely a conflict in that the router says you should be on a different subnet all together or just a different ip in the last place, but the resolutions here should still work, just be sure to check your routers ip system (192.168.0.d | 192.168.1.d | 10.b.c.d) the last number "d" is all that should change between your devices.
