STRange request

which got me thinking, is there a reason i could not use two of them (stacked on top of each other) in place of one of these.... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA85V3DG9459

in a single desktop opening?  i realize i would have to make a custom mount, but otherwise i think they would fit.

If they fit and you can make them stable, then there is no technical reason why you couldn't.

If your case came with nice drive bay covers and you're handy with a dremel, it could look good.

i was a bit concerned about the voltage differences. most laptops run in the 16-19 volt range (at least at the plug, i have never taken a voltage reading inside the case). where as a desktop has specific voltage regulated by the power supply at 12vdc. i "think" software would be similar between desktop and laptop as long as the o.s. was the same. as far as making it look pretty, i think that would be easy enough with a piece of black abs, cut to fit.
