Hello !

I dont want to buy a new motherboard cause of 1 additional card ...

1) cards with watercooling so their size is smaller in width

2) in order to avoid questions like "dont you think that 4 is too much for games" or sth like that, I decided to clarify: I'm not a gamer , its for octane render

Yea, riser cards work. If the rest of the system can handle it, you should have a problem running them all for what ever use.

welcome to the forums :P

remember to quote or mention the person you're replying so they will get a notification ;)

nice pic, so much effort into it tho lol

and it'll probably work if the riser is good enough

and if you have a power supply to supply enough wattage for 4x titan Z

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

It's for rendering, so not necessarily SLI.

Doesn't that require driver support tho?

Not entirely sure, I've never used a single dual GPU card, let alone 4 of them. AFAIK, rendering programs that can take advantage of multiple GPUs should be able to use the four Titan Zs just fine. Not really a practical solution, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

No idea - can Nvidia cards even run bellow 8x tho? 40 lanes divided by 8 cores gives us 5 PCIe lanes per GPU. IIRC SLI firmware requires 8x minimum

Well, for conventional SLI, yes, 8x is the minimum. Not sure how dual GPU cards would handle it though.

well you should consult the nvidia support for this since you're buying 4 of their most expensive consumer cards `-`

its unlikely we can give you a definitive answer since no one here runs anything like this lol

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

also, isnt the titan z a triple slot cooler? thought i was wrong when i saw your pic

now that i went back to watch the vid, it is triple slot `-`

its triple , but we are talking about water block , it will shrink its size to 2 slots

watercooling has its own plate as I know

he would never put 4 titan z like that with triple size plate
