Hey guys, me and my family just bought a duplex and we are keeping both adresses. I was wondering if powerline ethernet adapters would work between the units. there are only 2 units and we dont want to drill holes around the top floor only need a wireless connection while the basement would host the modem. the units are counted separately by the electricity company. Thanks in advance for the replies.

Unlikely, if both units have separate circuits/panels so there wouldn't be any crossover inside the units. I don't enough about power line to know just how far their signals can travel. So maybe they can still link up after the meter, idk though. That is why I say unlikely.

It should, many combined structures just share the wiring, but to my knowledge some have separate so there is a chance it wouldn't. However powerline gets bad reviews, have you thought about just following existing lines? like electrical or preferable phone, that way you don't have to drill holes and you can still have a solid gig between floors.
