Looking at the new tech coming out and I noticed AMD has a new CPU for the AM3+ socket, Vishera which is clockable over 4GHz. I currently run the FX-8320, would it be worth an upgrade. I see a lot of concerns with the amount of heat the new chip puts out, but it isn't a factor for me, My PC currently sits at about 30*C at idle and around 56*C at high loads, and that is with the fans running at mid-range RPMs.

Just looking to see who has this new chip and is it worth it to upgrade. It looks to cost about the same as an i7 now.

I assume you mean the new 9XXX chip I saw on sale for around $250? I've been wondering what kind of performance it puts out. The price seems pretty good and it is clocked pretty high. If you buy an aftermarket HSF (Hyper 212 Evo or similar) the heat should not be a problem.

Like I said, I'm not worried about the heat. With any newer CPU, especially AMD, you need to have an aftermarket cooler. But, as far as price to performance, any difference? Or should I just stick with what I have?

Even if you bought it, 220W is not suitable for your system, not at all, not to mention how bad buy is this processor.

Your 8320 is perfect for the job. Upgrade your GPU !
