Random Mouse Freezes

Hey there guys,

 

Im having an issue that seems to be one of those that is difficult to find solutions to. My mouse (RAT 7), likes to randomly freeze in place, thought the buttons still work while its frozen. Ive plugged it into other computers and it works fine as well as used other mice tin my computer and they work fine. But ive had the RAT 7 AND the Razer Taipan, both of which show the same issues within the first month or so of use. 

 

Has anyone had this issue with their mice? Any suggested fixes? Ive downloaded updates. Uninstalled, reinstalled. Not sure what else to attempt. I used to think it was maybe the USB 3.0 that casued the mice to go haywire..but even using 2.0 causes the issue soo...yea im kinda lost on this one.

 

Current setup:

 

Asus Maximus V formula MB

8 GB Corsair RAM

Radeon HD 7970

Go to control panel --> Hardware and sound --> mouse

Hardware tab --> Click on mouse --> Properties

Change Settings

Uninstall or try updating drivers

Ok ive removed and reinstalled/updated.

 

Ill test it out and see how it goes.

Damn, I thought it would work..but alas, still randomly freezing. Now, this is only the 2nd mouse to do this, but for it to be the 2nd mouse in a row AND given they were new when it started, i thought it would be worth mentioning. 

 

I am assuming my only real coarse of action here is to get a new mouse.

If anyone has any ideas at all, they would be very much appreciated. Otherwise im just going to purchase a new mouse since this one is unable to be returned, being that ive had it for over a month. 

Hopefully the new mouse i get wont have this problem.

Im assuming my issue has been corrected...All i did was remove the generic mouse drivers that existed at the same time as my RAT 7 drivers.

I apologize, as soon as i said that last reply, lol it started doing it again. Sooooo yea still in the dark about this one...ill consider changing mice

Disable hardware acceleration under mouse settings. That works sometimes. Clean your mousepad and mouse sensor, though I don't think thats the issue here.

Unfortunately i dont a hardware acceleration option anywhere in mouse settings within windows. However just for the hell of it, im gonna clean the mousepad and mouse. I like the RAT 7 and dont wana buy new if i dont have to.
