12-35 vs 100-300 vs tripod

Hey everyone!

I bought my Panasonic G7 and a manfrotto MVM500A monopod.

I only have the kit lens (14-42) at the moment, so I wanted to add a lens to my collection, however, I don't ahve a decent tripod, I do have a 5 year old $20 tripod that unstable.

First, I'm not sure if I should get the tripod first or get a lens first, I haven't experienced any situations where I absolutely needed a tripod so I guess it's not that urgent...

So I was looking at the panasonic 100-300mm and the panasonic 12-32mm pancake lens (links below), but I'm not sure which one to get...

I mostly do vlogging, Nature photography and I want to get into product photography, but that's for later.

Thanks in advance!

-Gijs

A tripod is always useful to have whether you may think you need it or not, but I always go for lenses first depending on my current need. Now the question is do you need a standard focal length (believe the panasonic is m4/3) or do you need a super telephoto? If you get the super telephoto, the tripod would be a tremendous help with keeping things steady at the long end.

I think I'll get the 100-300 (works as a 200-600 in 35mm full frame), I have a tripod, it's not the most steady but it functions... So the telezoom would be useful for nature photography I think
