Hello LTT! I want to do a custom loop in my NZXT S340 but have no idea how many radiators I will need. I planned to put a single XSPC 240mm in, but someone said that that wouldn't be enough to cool my 390 and 4590. Should I add an additional 120mm and dedicate it to the CPU?

Thanks

You could probably fit a 240mm in the front and a 120mm in the back. You could probably survive with just the 240 but the 390 would run a lot cooler with the extra 120mm of cooling space. Also, I wouldn't recommend watercooling a 4590, try to upgrade to a 4690K or 4790K either now or in the future to take advantage of the lower temperatures.

Thanks, but why wouldn't you recommend water-cooling the 4590?

If you do build your system then please let me know how it goes doing custom water cooling in the S340. I have an S340 too and I am planning my loop as well.

Here I just found this. He is making a WC loop in the S340 https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/583094-project-glacier-blaze-nzxt-s340/#comment-7609187
