So basicly I got rid of my Razer kraken and regretted even buying that thing... For the most part I've been using Apple earbuds which tbh have similar sound quality to the krakens.... My issue is that when I plug the earbuds in it doesn't detect the earbuds mic.... I then got another pair and put it in the mic jack and that didn't work... So I have an audio jack and a mic jack and with two sets of earbuds in each the mic still dosnt pick up... Is there anyway to fix this? With my new build I don't want to buy a headset with a mic or a studio mic... What must I do to ensure that I have microphone capabilitys integrated into my new rig? Is it dependant on the motherboard or...?

Apple earbuds have a TRRS jack, normal sound cards or ports that have separate audio and mic ports are TRS ports.  You need to use a splitter, if it does work with it.

But I used two sets... So basicly if I want to use them I have to have a splitter?

It doesn't work like that.  You should only need to use one set and it will require a splitter.  See the image below to understand the difference between TRRS and TRS.
