So I have a dual-boot (Ubuntu 14.04 + Windows 10) on my laptop that sometimes cause me trouble, and I think this might just be another one, but I'm not sure since it only happens when I boot Windows 10.

Sometimes when I boot it the sound just won't work. I've tried everything I can think of:

  • Checking audio levels (might sound stupid but sometimes the dumbest solution is the easiest :D).
  • Checking audio devices.
  • Desabled and then enabled again audio devices.
  • Tried with headphones.
  • Checked for new drivers.

The only thing that works is restarting my pc and choosing windows again (not turning off and then on again, that doesn't work).

What frustrates me the most is that this seems like the typical "it doesn't work because of reasons" O.o, 'cause I really can't imagine what may cause this strange behaviour besides from some weird dual-booting os fight for the audio controllers or something.

Any ideas?

As always, thanks beforehand.
