Hey guys,

So I have a amd fx 8350, corsair h100I, I'm rather confused to hw monitor, corsair link and speed fan won't show me CPU temp, what I mean for that is right now as I'm stress testing there's temp 1 which is 65℃ and package temp which is 53℃ which one is my CPU temp?

package temp is the approx temp

is there core temps?

pick the highest if you don't know. and 65 is too high.

if he oc-ed that might be normal(?)

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I just don't understand why they couldn't make it simple I got temp 1 temp 2 temp 3 and core temp and package temp and a Google Search doesn't bring back much haha

Because of the way those cpu´s are designed.

You basicly got a package temp and socket temp, that are the numbers you should be looking at.

Okay so ignore the others only socket and package?

There both the same temp at 49℃ my temp 1 is at 60℃ this is while running prime95 at 4.5ghz at 1.39v it's different than before cause I'm lowering the voltage now

i suppose that the socket temp is 60°C

Thats still okayish for prime95, which is a realy hard stress testing tool.

Of course i dont know what particular overclock method you used.

But i think with an H100i those temp should be able to get better.

Not sure if you re-did any thermal paste application or what not?

Or that your radiator fans run at low speed?

I RE applied thermal paste I have fans running at 100% the coolant in the h100I is only 39℃ so I'm thinking maybe it's not making enough connection I can't remember where I seen it but someone DIY there motherboard fit ins with the h100I because apparently it doesn't make a snug connection on am3 or am2 boards and the h100I gtx fix this but at the moment after 10 mins I'm at 61℃ of prime 95 at 1.38 volts and prime 95 is a worst case scenario so I shouldn't worry if it gets to 65℃ on prime?

Also I overclocked with the multiplier only and used voltage ofset instead of manual Control and all power saving features are on I believe  I have -0.007800 or something cause auto was pumping 1.45 volts
