So i got a quick question.

i overclock my G3258/CMH212X 4.3GHz@1.23V on Aida64 Temps hover around 50-60C but on my Games IE(Dota 2 Reborn & CS:GO) temps only go high as 55C, then overclock it again at 4.6GHz@1.34V on Aida64 Temps hover around 55-65C but on my Games IE(Dota 2 Reborn & CS:GO) temps only go high as 60C. Ambient Temp on my Room is around 18-20C. My question is can i go pass 1.350V to achieve 4.8GHz? my MoBo can Support up to 1.920V but i think ill never go up to high voltage and i cant go pass 1.350V because this were every guide in overclocking haswell best practice voltage.

4.3GHz

CS:GO i get 130-150FPS

Dota 2 Reborn i get 80-100FPS

4.6GHz

CS:GO i get 140-155FPS

Dota 2 Reborn i get 95-100FPS

it got much stable even in graphic intense scenario.

Voltage alone isn't going to fry your CPU- the temperatures will. If you're seeing 65 celsius at the highest at 1.35v, I could see you going further.

The Pentium G3258 is a bit of an exception to the 'Haswell Safe Voltage', as it has half the cores any of the other unlocked K-CPUs do, and thus, generates less heat at higher voltages.

what would be my safe temps if i really want to push this chip to its high frequency? i would really love to know sad part is i cant even buy a good cpu cooler like the NH-D15 MoBo and Case cant fit that monster of a cooler, so ill be good for the Cooler Master Hyper 212X.

Increasing voltage does stress your hardware more and it may induce a lower lifespan. There's a point where you'll start seeing diminishing returns for your voltage, and your VRM might also bottleneck you.

That said, if the overclock is stable and doesn't go hotter than 80, you should.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here
