Hi,

I'm having issues with my TP-Link Wifi card. Here's what happened: I bought a 150mbps TP-Link network card less than a couple years ago to build my PC. A few months later, I was getting very low download speeds (close to 0mbps), so I assumed it was a network card failure. A few months later, I replaced it with another TP-Link card, 300mbps this time. But a few weeks later, I was having the same issue, then it went back to normal for months without me doing anything, but this week I'm having this issue again. So I started troubleshooting this issue:

- First I updated the BIOS of my motherboard, which didn't change anything.

- Then I noticed that I was able to access local files with no problem. I can access the admin interface of my router without any slowdowns, and even transfer files locally back and forth between my PC and my tablet at speeds over 600KB/s. This makes me think that it might not be a hardware issue after all. I tried to change the DNS servers but it didn't help neither. Please note that my other devices (phone and tablet) have no internet issue. I'm currently using my phone as a network adapter. I'm running both Windows and Linux on my computer (more Linux actually) and this issue is present on both systems. I haven't changed anything in the settings, I'm just having low connections issues, and sometimes the connection gets back to normal for a few minutes. Everything is fine when I use my phone as a network adapter. So here are my questions:

- What else can I try? What could be the issue?

- I'm also curious to know why I'm only getting 600KB/s while both my card and my router are at 300mbps/s?

It's TP-Link actually, and I'm trying to understand the issue first instead of buying a 3rd network card in a few months.

A lot of TP-Link and D-Link wireless adapters are the same card with different branding, so it eventually just becomes a battle of "who has the better support."

In my experience, TP-Link has the better support.

So how can I be sure it's a hardware issue first?
