The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

No. 3

Do you already have the monitor or are looking for one of those too, and is that part of the budget or excluded from the budget?

Also you didn't mention if you needed a Windows license.

Heh, I wish I could recommend him something better, but it's already over his budget.

FX 6300 and FX 8300 will perform right around any current i3 and lower end i5s, and cost more.

Also by going with a DDR3 Skylake mobo it allows the OP to get 16GB of RAM, even though 16GB of DDR4 isn't that much more expensive.

Perhaps an i5 and or R9 380X. With that low of a CPU it's not ideal to pair the more demanding R9 390 and 390X with them.

6600K and 6700K are better suits for those two cards.

I have a distaste for Nvidia but perhaps a GTX 970 might fit into the budget.

That build is missing storage... Otherwise not a bad config. H110 supports gen 2 PCIe instead of gen 3 but I'm not sure how much that affects performance.

Also OP can probably get 16GB of DDR4 in his budget.

The 6500 is sort of pushing it for a 390, though it would handle it a bit better than the 6400 or i3.

Getting into that price range with the CPU, Nvidia (sadly) might be the better choice.
