Data Migration

LahryMusic

Ok, being a tech i feel like I should know this but I want some outside opinions before I go forward to make sure. I have a single 2tb hdd with 2 partitions, one for the OS and one for the data. If I clone over my os to an 480gb ssd everything should be ok right? I only ask because there happens to be a lot of vital data on this pc. Thanks!!:)

Make a backup FIRST, then try to do that operation. You should be able to use a cloning application to clone just that one partition over, but in case something goes wrong, keep a backup. You should already have a backup. If you don't, you're sad. Backup.

Yes I have all my data backing up to my NAS so I should be covered on that front.
