Your ISP blocks this I guess, Has the router been installed by your ISP?

Internet Service Provider.

There are 2 possible issues:

1. You've got the wrong info, please verify that the gateway you do have is the correct one.
Type "ipconfig" and you will be presented by the default gateway.

2. Your ISP blocks this feature and requeres you to use their webpanel on the website.

If the second option isn't the case then I'd recommend you to check it out with your ISP themselfs

I always do because I leave the topics open in other tabs and enable the "Notify me of replies" at all times

ok thank you so should i check that soon?

Yes, I've been doing some research and you can access this page: http://webadmin.comcast.com/, This should be only accessable within the local network, this replaces the default gateway method, some of the video's out there show me that you can indeed just use the default gateway

Other video's show me that you indeed do need to login to the webadmin.comcast.com site:

I don't know why comcast is such a mess but here you have both options in a video (I did not check the sound because I'm remote logged in to my windows pc from a crappy mac of a friend)
