Well I think most of you guys know Plex or have used them ......

But can u help me guys clearing the concepts of pricing and subscription.....

I have already set up the Plex Media server on my PC but I want to stream all my videos more than one minute and pictures without watermarks.....

.

I know I need to unlock the app with one time purchase(which I think I can afford)

But if I purchase the app from playstore do I get to use Plex free on any device ?

Basically I want to stream media only on my lg webos TV and sometimes on my smartphone ..........so can I use all the streaming locally for more than one minute.....

I am not at all interested in Plex services except streaming media locally ................

And I think I cannot afford the monthly subscriptions................

I am really looking forward to this app and I don't want to spend any money more than one time (it must be reasonable).........

Do I get to unlock the Plex app on TV if I purchase it on my Android ......or have to pay extra for each device...

Also I don't understand

1.we own the content

2.we host the servers.

3.we handle the bandwidth..

Then also why we do have to pay to Plex?

Isn't this must be free.........

Thank you guys and I am sorry if this is a repost....

But I really hope you guys can help me clear ally doubts......

(Icant afford to buy the monthly subscription )

And if u suggest any alternatives ,it must support mu webos TV.........    ,,coz I can find an another way around for my Android..

It's still a business, so you have to pay to use the software they provide. They need to make money somehow.

You can either go for a Plex Pass, which is a monthly, yearly or one time (big) purchase for all of the features that Plex offers, as well as not having to activate each device by paying.

Second option is to just pay to activate each device you want to stream to. This is a one time purchase for each device, then you can stream media with no watermarks or restrictions.

Sounds like the second option would be the cheaper and best solution for you.

Well I am not at all interested in Plex paid features ,so u are saying that I need to pay for both the Android and the TV?

And I have unlocked that device for lifetime ? Means no watermarks for decades until Plex changes its policy ..right ?

Yes. I believe that's how it works. I use Plex pass myself, but have had activated devices in the past that never needed activating more than once
