3-5% IPC increase. That won't do anything for you. Not worth the price difference either.

about ram performance, does it matter too?

im using computer for rendering video with premiere and effects in after effect.

RAM speed will have an effect. Not a massive one, but it will be minutely noticeable.

If you're rendering, look into i7' s and low-tier Xeons.

where are you at? amazon still has 1155 boards under $50.one as low as $40.

what to upgrade to will be determined by you budget and what you will do with the PC

option 1 - costly, also u need to add a cpu cooler if your going to overclock, if you are not going to overclock, don't get a k series cpu

option 2 - same deal, but a little cheaper, a little lower in performance for gaming, easy to find at used at 70% of the new price, non k's go for about $160 sometimes lower, my 4670k was $150 vs new $220

option 3 - quick fix , cheap, if your just gaming it's a good option since most titles are gpu heavy, in some 3dmark tests my i5-2500 beat out my overclocked 4670k.

if i post a link to amazon try to use the LTT affiliate code to help the channel http://www.amazon.com/?_encoding=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&linkCode=ur2&tag=linustechtips-20

at indonesia.

well they still sells 1155 boards, but cheapo motherboard from unknown model like Colorful and blahblah...

yeah the chipset all now H61.

and my ram cant run its maximum potential because throttled 1333mhz by mobo and cpu limitation..

well DDR4 vs DDR3, is it big deal?

im heavily confused, because i never tried DDR4's performance so i cant say which it better

so im now considering option 2...

my last struggle is ram. Ddr4 or stay ddr3?

to be honest i cant tell the difference, if you are doing cpu intensive stuff life movie editing, rendering cad, etc, it might, gaming not so much.

idk about there but here the price of ddr4 is about the same as ddr3, though if you decide to go with option 2 there isnt any mb that supports it, ddr4 is for skylake cpus and motherboards

hmm.

so,

DDR3 Vengeance 8GB 1600mhz CL9 9 9 24 vs DDR4 Vengeance LPX 16gb kit 3200mhz CL15

well I'll go for DDR3.

btw, thats single channel. What if i buy same vengeance 8GB, will it run as dual channel? I heard dual channels only works in KIT series.

yes if you have two identical sticks in slots 1 & 3  it will run that way, another thing that i don't really see as much as a difference but in some cases it does.

this might help.
