New simple volume

So I recently bought a 1TB SSHD from seagate (linked below) and a Sabrent USB to SATA (linked below) adapter to clone my primary drive. I got the adapter working with the drive, the drive turns on when connected no problem but my computer doesn't actually recognize the drive. I'm trying to use Macrium Reflect to clone my drive onto the new one but in doesn't recognize it either. In Disk management it shows up with a black bar. Any ideas on how to fix this?

You need to format the disk in Disk Management.

I would if I could. There's no option to format the drive. The only drive I can format in disk management is my D drive.

Right click the black bar in Disk Managment, there should be an option to allocate space or partition it
