So a friend of mine recently have me a and am3+ mobo and aim looking to build a server to host games such as csgo, minecraft, gmod and some others what would be a good cheap cpu for it I'm looking to spend 100 - 150 usd for the whole system

 

i would only be hosting it for a few friends 3-8 so I'm not worried about ddos or dos atacks as it would be private

I went for the 6300 because the extra cores are worth that $20 here.

Yep they aren't cheap I might just pick up a used fx 6300 off r/hardwareswap for $65
