Win 7 Random Freezes

Hello all,

 

I'm experiencing what seem to be random freezes on my computer, they seem to happen at any time; be it browsing/watching youtube, or when I'm playing Games (Elite, CSGO, Rome 2, ARMA 3) As mentioned they seem to be random, sometimes I can play for hours and not get a freeze other times I can play/browse for minutes then get a freeze.

 

When I get a freeze my machine completely locks up, I can't access anything; not even task manager, I've left it before for 20 minutes and it stays in the frozen state, so I have to power off (which I don't really want to do)

 

I'm running Win 7 Home Premium, fully upto date, Graphics drivers are up to date. Running Virus scan and Spybot yields no results. I've checked both my drives (SSD and HDD) using Seagate Seatool and they both pass every test on there.

 

My temps seem fine, although during a freeze I can't check them (Use Core Temp to track CPU and MSI Afterburner for graphics)

So with all that, I don't think I've missed anything but feel free to ask, and anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?

Check your Ram with MemTest

Reinstalling windows MIGHT fix it, but it's possible that one of your storage devices is dying and it wasn't detected.

Will have to try memtest in a few days when I can get my hands on a USB to make a bootable.

 

Hope neither of my drives are dying, then are both new (SSD from January, HDD is no more then 8 months old)

Managed to do MemTest today and everything worked out fine, so it looks like I might have to do a fresh install...
