Headset isn't recognized?

So in short, I had a steelseries siberia usb headset and one day it showed up as a "USB advanced audio device", it was old so I bought the siberia V3 Prism and it installed just like  I'd expect, I set the color etc, but now, once again it shows up as a advanced audio advice and I can't change the color anymore, however my steelseries mouse works just fine. I'll admit I've unplugged it a few times but not that often, anyone know any fixes to this? Also, yes I tried using other usb ports and it still didn't work.
