CPU liquid cooler

Hello, I am planning to overclock my i5 3570k and to keep its temperatures low I will buy a liquid cpu cooler. I live in a hot area (about 35C at summer). Any suggestions?

No with the stock fans, i would go for the Kraken X61 if you can fit it in your case

It should fit, I am planning to upgrade to a Corsair Obsidian 450D

The EK predator 240mm or 360mm versions are really good but it probably won't fit your case because of it's massive size.

Resulting in higher temperatures though, I suppose...

well yea, but if you can do push pull, you should since it allows lower rpm to perform the same as one fan with high rpm

thus achieving silence :D

and you have the option to crank up the speed if you're really into performance

dBa adds up 4 fans instead of 2. lol

No worries mate, there are plenty of other options. If not the predator then maybe one of these three: 280mm http://www.corsair.com/en/hydro-series-h115i-280mm-extreme-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler or 280mm (different design) http://www.corsair.com/en/hydro-series-h110i-280mm-extreme-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler or 240mm (new name) http://www.corsair.com/en/hydro-series-h100i-v2-extreme-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler .

1) noise is measured on a logarithmic scale, 20db + 20db =/= 40db

2) fan noise increases exponentially as the speed increases

The first one looks like a nice option. Which is better though, this or the Kraken X61?

Mhmm... too late for me too browse around for more reviews but look here: https://www.guru3d.com . Search for a cooler then go to the  review and then finally look at the comparison graphs. If they are similar look at the guarantees, looks and customer reviews and service. Good luck and have a good one.
