Help with Logitech G502 binds

Hey guys, I'm trying to bind some CSGO commands to the many buttons on my G502 :) but I'm having issues. If I use the game settings thing in the Logitech drivers and drag 'n' drop the commands to the different keys, they won't work in game. (e.g bind use mic to button x). I can't do this in game either because for some reason the game only recognises my two thumb buttons and left/right click. Is this because of my old gaming mouse which only had those two thumb buttons? I managed to fix it temporarily by binding commands to keyboard, and then keys to the mouse, but this stops working mid-game which is extremely annoying. Anyone know how to fix this? Help very much appreciated, thanks!
