Computer Building Help

Persomatey

I've had a gaming PC from when I worked at Activision for a while. I've steadily upgraded it over time. But now I'm getting ready to build my own computer. I've done some research and I think all these parts are compatible but would like some help from those who are more experienced than I am. I have a few questions. Are these parts compatible? Will my PSU have enough Watts? Am I missing anything crucial?

use pcpartpicker, its an amazing website, has compatability options and everything, also a psu wattage thingy, but to answer your question, id go for a 650w -750w PSU, 500w might be able to work but it'll be cutting it close, you want room for expandability

also, I recommend going for a gtx 980 or 980ti if you have the money, 970 is fine but if you're going with a new skylake cpu, you might aswell go for a higher end gpu

I have an 970 in my system now. I do intend to upgrade to a 980 TI eventually though. The ultimate goal is to SLI two of them. Right now, this is what I own and what I have the money for.

Majority of the build is good but the PSU is crap. Thermaltake's TR2 series are something you want to stay well away from.

I recommend a 500W PSU from either SeaSonic or XFX. Or the EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G2 for the best quality possible at a fair price.

Also, you want a Z170 motherboard to overclock your unlocked K-series CPU (with a decent aftermarket cooler) and your RAM. The B150 cannot do either.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Spoiler

CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K - 4.5 GHz | Motherboard: ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO | RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 | SSD: Samsung 850 EVO - 500GB | GPU: MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6GB | PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2 | Case: NZXT Phantom 530 | Cooling: CRYORIG R1 Ultimate | Monitor: ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q | Peripherals: Corsair Vengeance K70 and Razer DeathAdder

I worked as a QA Tester hired through Volt. A few months ago, they were having a "yard sale" at our studio and giving away some of the old gaming computers.
