thermal paste spread by application

A little vid I came across whilst surfing. There's been a lot of discussion and vids on the topic but this should give you an idea how thermal paste spreads by the various ways it is applied to the top of the processor. I wish they would have tried more types and brands of paste............ I'm glad I always spread my paste with my fingertip. AC5 was one of my favorites for a time... 2008 era-ish.

LTT made a video and proved that it doesn't really matter how you spread it, it all pretty much comes out the same performance-wise, just don't put too little on it.

You know how it is, the cow goes "moo", the dog goes "woof" and the gamer goes "The PvP is unbalanced."

well after seeing this I would never put a pea sized blob in the middle of a processor and as a matter of fact I never did. Linus doesn't know everything. He only makes a lot of videos and I don't agree with him often. Like the "how to fix a bad HD". He missed the most basic fix of all.
