Any wireless, open headsets?

Pingypoker

I know Sennheiser has open eared wireless headphones, but I'm wanting a headset. Does anything like that exist?

i think most of Astros lineup is open ear, at least my A30s are. Most of them have a wireless version as well but expect to pay more for the thing than you would a wired version

Desktop -  i5 4670k, GTX 770, Maximums VI Hero, 2X Kingston Hyper X 3k in raid zero.

Laptop - Lenovo X230 Intel 535 480GB, 16GB Gskill memory, Classic Keyboard Mod, Triple USB 3.0 Express Card.

First off, I don't know of many open wireless headphones or headsets.

Alright I try not to complain but people need to start posting budgets with these topics, and sorry but next person to recommend Astro's I'm going to literally smack through the internet.

Get a pair of wireless Sennheiser's and a usb microphone, not sure why you want wireless though, I would rather get a pair of 990's or something. Assuming you have a decent budget go with this

If you really want open get this

RS180's: http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Digital-Wireless-Headphone-System/dp/B002TLT10S/ref=pd_sim_e_8

and get a usb microphone.

Snowflake USB: http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Microphones-Snowflake-USB-Microphone/dp/B0012AUHXW/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1379388028&sr=1-9&keywords=USB+microphone

If you want to save some money and are willing to go closed get a pair of RS160's

RS160: http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-160-Digital-Wireless-Headphones/dp/B002SOU2Y0/ref=pd_sim_e_7

If you are willing to not go wireless get a pair of 990 pros: http://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-AMS-DT-990-Pro-250-Professional-Acoustically-Applications/dp/B0011UB9CQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1379388317&sr=1-1&keywords=DT990

What's wrong with Astro's? Sure they're not audiophile grade but not everyone is a fucking audiophile. He said what he wanted and we gave suggestions. No where in the post did he say he needed the highest quality headphones out there. You also completely ignored what he said. He asked for a HEADSET, not a damn separate mic/headphone combo.

Okay well just because someone wants one thing doesn't mean that's the best they could get for their money. And just because someone isn't an audophile doesn't mean you can't have nice high quality headphones, that A: Cost less than a pair of Astro's and B: Sound undoubtedly better than Astro's'

I support this option. Not only are they good for the money, it has what the OP needs/wants.

Sometimes it's about what the person wants, not about what's right and the best choice.

Staying under 150 would be good.

Don't remember him saying "I want a pair of Astro's" There's better headsets than Astro's out there by far.

God man you are one thick skulled ignorant person he asked for a wireless gaming headset and I suggested the closest thing to that. Either calm down or step out.

as a person who campaigns for the headphone/audiophile master race I have to confess I wear a wireless headset daily for the convenience.

that said the problem I have with astros in general is that they are giving out good enough audio at audiophile prices. for someone who lived with gaming grade headsets and putting on astros I'm sure you'd have an eye opening experience much like I had when I went from shitty turtle beaches and putting on a corsair vengeance 2000. a substantial jump up but not comparable to products put out by proper audio/headphone companies. the 200-300 dollar astros are apple pricing simply put

I'd love to recommend my good enough audio corsair wireless headset but they break so easily I'm on my 5th one and that is broken, I'm waiting for the new refreshed models to hit the market before I submit yet another RMA

for that open back headphone feeling on a wireless headset I don't think there are any on the market that are suitable. the only wireless models out there are reliant on virtualizers to simulate 3d soundscapes which are in my opinion pretty shitty.

If there aren't any good (and cheap) open wireless headsets, I can get a closed one, it's not too big of a deal.

if you can wait perhaps the corsair 2100. to me, my 2000 has a similar sound to my dt770 but with shittier mids and a very vague soundstage.

if you can wait further I'm really hoping that logitech's ultimate ears division will make a wireless option. if ultimate ears made a wireless headset I'd be all over that
