What's the point of borderless?

The reason why I use borderless is because if you want to focus your mouse out of the game, it'll just go ahead and overlay the taskbar and windows over the game, instead of having to have the screen flicker for a few seconds and go completely back to desktop. I guess also, if you want to take a screenshot of the game using an external program like puush, you can do it in borderless because the game acts as its part of the actual desktop, instead of being a separate display.

Intel i5-6600k (Cooled by a 212 evo) - Asus Z170-A - Asus Dual OC GTX 1060 - NZXT S340 - WD 1TB (Getting SSD this month, hopefully) - 8GB DDR4-2400

LG G4 - Asus Zenwatch 2

borderless. that way i don't have to wait to switch from one program to another, since i'm technically not in fullscreen, so it doesn't take an eternity to switch.

this is probably the only place i'll hang out anymore: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/274320-the-long-awaited-car-thread/

Current Rig: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, Abit IN9-32MAX nForce 680i board, Galaxy GT610 1GB DDR3 gpu, Cooler Master Mystique 632S Full ATX case, 1 2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA and 1x200gb Maxtor SATA drives, 1 LG SATA DVD drive, Windows 10. All currently runs like shit :D

I's much quicker and more seamless to switch between multiple windows. I find myself wanting to switch out of a game to a Chrome tab, music player, or chat window relatively frequently. In some games with shoddy vsync implementations, playing in a borderless window can also eliminate tearing.

Really the only potential downside to borderless is that it forces vsync on whether it's on in your game's options or not, which is either a huge problem or a huge convenience depending on the circumstances.
