Hi,

Having a lot of trouble with my new build. When I turn the system on, it powers on for 15 seconds, and then goes into a boot loop. No power to peripherals(tried all ports) or display output via HDMI.

Specs:

I5-6600k

Gigabyte h170n-wifi

8gb hyperx fury ddr4-2666

Silverstone Sg13

MSI GTX 960 100ME

Corsair CS450M

Thanks for your help

Tried all above. Nothing. Thanks for the suggestions. Any ideas? Tried all ram slots, no RAM, different PSU, no CPU, with cpu, with/without GPU.  @Sors no, it doesnt have a speaker, might grab one from the store to see...

Should it beep if I have no RAM in as an error?

Edit: 5 long beeps. Can't find the beep error legend anywhere.

It seems 5 beeps means a CPU error.

Mystery is the source of all true science.

What on earth could that mean? I have tried reseating it a few times and I know it works,  used it for 6 months in another build. Any ideas?  Thanks for your help BTW.

Could be a bend pin in the CPU  socket, uneven pressure from the heat sink, or even a damaged motherboard.

Mystery is the source of all true science.
