Hey, I have a SD card that I tryed opening on my computer and it shows that it's almost full which is correct. When I open it I find the DCIM folder but there is no underfolders.

So it's emtpy, took it out tryed taking it out and but it back in again, now it shows the underfolders but they are empty and only one has content and the folders and files are named with random numbers and symboles which I see as corrupt files.

What are my options here? I really want the content out of it.

Computer management>storage>disk/drive management     look for the drive that is associated with the card and see if its partition or what formats its in

Minipartion wizard free ed   use it in the same way, it will support more options, force options, and more testing options

Try another device

Hey you can try to run a program called 'Recuva' it is free and will allow you to recover corrupt and deleted files (when possible as long as they have not been overwritten or the file table is still intact). Cheers!

Like @bradmonster https://www.piriform.com/recuva/download/standard

But if the issue is the card and not just those files I wouldn't waste to much time, even recuva has to have a certain level of data structure and metadata in tact and corruption of flash memory is usually pretty ugly. I would try using a different device or OS first as it might be a driver issue

can you put it back in the camera and view it or send it by usb? if not you could try a paid recovery software or a professional.
