Httpd - Failed to get socket address for server.

Hey, I've tried this on CentOS 7 and CentOS 6 and they both haven't worked.

So i would perform a clean install,

run "yum install httpd"

then do "service httpd start"

and it says

httpd: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed for MORRISON-SERVER

so it can't determine your server name and is trying to qualify it with your hostname.

Go into the httpd.conf and set the "ServerName" to your FQDN/Domain name

e.g ServerName www.mywebsite.com:80

Edit: Actually just do this:

You could probably also make it work by editing your /etc/hosts file and adding

127.0.0.1   MORRISON-SERVER

There's already one for 127.0.0.1

its abunch of localhost ones

Nope... still the same error ;(

[root@MORRISON-SERVER ~]# service httpd start
Starting httpd: httpd: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using ::1 for ServerName
                                                           [  OK  ]
But when i load it,

This site can’t be reached

<IP TO SERVER> took too long to respond.

in error_log

I get this...

[Tue Mar 22 20:24:16 2016] [notice] SELinux policy enabled; httpd running as context unconfined_u:system_r:httpd_t:s0
[Tue Mar 22 20:24:16 2016] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec)
[Tue Mar 22 20:24:16 2016] [notice] Digest: generating secret for digest authentication ...
[Tue Mar 22 20:24:16 2016] [notice] Digest: done
[Tue Mar 22 20:24:16 2016] [notice] Apache/2.2.15 (Unix) DAV/2 configured -- resuming normal operations

Edit: Httpd has been starting fine since the start,

but it's just that issue is being thrown in error_log and.... it takes too long to respond
