Definitely, you could comfortably game at 1440p with this GPU, especially if you have a freesync monitor

Do not buy Gigabyte or Asus cards when looking at AMD cards. Go for MSI, Sapphire, XFX or PowerColor. Make sure to get a 4GB card if you're getting a 380. The 380x is also a good bang for buck card.

Gigabyte and Asus have very badly designed cards for AMD for some reason. Ranging from bad quality fans to inadequately cooled RAM and VRMs. They tend to throttle a lot. The Gigabyte models are also voltage locked, so you can't overclock them. Avoid Gigabyte and Asus for AMD like the plague.
