front panel usb troubles

Go to solution Solved by Kyundere,

alright, after looking around for a while, I have decided to get this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=14G-0001-00017

thank you everyone for your input, and saving me from daisy chaining like 4 adapters together, not i can just connect it directly to this AND grant me an additional 5 usb ports on the back of my case because i already used all the ports on my motherboard. once again thank you

Hey everyone, just for a little backstory, I broke my front panel audio because i rushed out the room and tripped over my headset, and rekt my audio jacks and the connectors on my headset. So fast forward about a month and a half later, i got my front panel replacement from nzxt, and when i was replacing it, as i was replacing the usb 3.0, i bent one of the pins all to hell. so bad that it cant be fixed. so one of my front usb 3.0's doesn't work. it's been bothering me, and i was wondering if there was any alternatives, like using two usb 2.0 male mobo connector that split to a female header 3.0 was even possible. I really don't want to use this dumb adapter: http://amzn.to/1Vsbmu5 I would rather use something like http://amzn.to/1RYItjx  but i don't want to downgrade the speed to 2.0 because my wifi adapter is on the front. unless i can jerry rig two of these http://amzn.to/1Ueke7t with this  http://amzn.to/1Vsbmu5

Ok, did you make sure that your usb 3.0 header is plugged in right on your motherboard and that its not dead?

yeah, it worked before i replaced the front panel stuff. its just that i accidentally squashed one of the pins on the female 3.0 header on the mobo, and it would be impossible to straighten out. my other front usb still works, just the left one doesnt work. I've been looking and would something like this let me use my left front panel usb again? http://amzn.to/1UelM1o

First off, does your motherboard have a usb 3.0? and I think that would work but if i was you I would just get a usb 3.0 hub. Like this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0172UHAGM?psc=1

yes my motherboard does have usb 3.0, but because i bent the pin on the motherboard, the left usb 3.0 on the front of my case does not function. I do have a hub, but i have many peripherals, and would probably benefit from having even more at the back

Ok, but most people said the drivers were corrupted. But good luck with it. :)

on the disk apparently the drivers are corrupted. but it appears that they have pretty decent customer support, as they've responded to nearly every review on there, good or bad. and people that reviewed it linked to drivers online, so i preemptively downloaded them so that im ready when they get here
