Back-up singing? The just have a back-up singer add a choir sounding part to the song.

In this case it sounds like only one person, but it could be a full on choir doing those parts. 

It's not so common in modern music, but ambiant choirs are used a lot in classical music, especially music from the renaissance and in some strains of baroque music.

So I have a thing with songs with like am not sure like vocalists that have the ahhhh ahhhhh thing.

 

Basically skip to 2:02 and you'll hear what am talking about the female voices doing the ahhhhhh ahhhh.
