I was wondering if anyone had a cloud service to recommend so i could get a backup outside of my house. You know.. in case of fire..

It would be a bonus if it was somewhat safe.. (as in all my stuff won't be looked at by the service provider) I guess it is a subjective oppinion.

if you're worried about someone looking at what you have backed up, use veracrypt and encrypt your files before syncing to the cloud.

amazon has unlimited cloud storage, i'd start there

Personally, I use Jottacloud, becuase it has unlimited storage at a resonable price. Supposedly, they are also very privacy concerned, seeing how they only use servers in Norway or other countires with similarly strict privacy laws.

The service is pretty barebones, but it's fast and it works.

Mega is also pretty upfront with their privacy standards, but I can be somewhat expensive if you are storing hugh amounts of data. But their free entry tier is 50GB, which is enough for most people.

Im thinking in the 2tb to 4tb terrabyte range. Jota seems decent tho. Good value compared to buying your own Disk and getting less secure data. Now i wonder how easy it is to take a copy. Is it like synctoy or dropbox? because thats real easy.Insert other media

The backup system on Jotta works rather well. You just select the folder(s) that you want it to back up, and it backs it up.

It also creates a folder on you PC that will be synced across all your devices.
