understanding how graphic performance

i want to ask your opinion on upgrading my pc for gameing i have MSI Military class II H67MA-E45 mainboard,,intel core i5 2400 3.10Ghz Socket LGA1155 Processor.8gb ram,750w EVGA b1 and the last 1 is MSI N560gtx-ti hawk 1 GB GDDR5 graphics card and i dont do overclocking coz i dont want to just want to play game. im about to upgrade my GPU to MSI AMD Radeon R9 390 Gaming 8GB GDDR5 the non x version of gpu...if i change the GPU later on,is the graphic performance will be more than batter, i ment do i need to upgrade mainboard and cpu in the future? or it will do fine ?

You need to upgrade your CPU to a better one because it could bottleneck pretty significantly in some CPU bound games.

You would have to in the future but no worries, it will be good without a new CPU for some time. Bottlenecking will occur although Please edit your topic, it just hurts my eyes..

Games like GTA:V, Fallout 4 and few others Nvidia titles that weirdly CPU/drawcalls intensive need beefier CPU to feed the 390 properly. i5-2400 is a little weak for R9-390 in my opinion.

 

It won't crash but you will not get smooth gaming experience when that happen.

ok great that i know this thanks..so any idia what cpu shot i buy with 1155 soket that is for my mainboard that i can use but not so expensive? or do i have to change the mainboard to?

Hard to say.. If you can find a used i7-2700k/2600k for ~RM600 or lower, that'll be your best bet. Else don't bother and wait for Skylake price drop probably next year or AMD Zen. 

If you mati-mati need a new GPU, find a used GTX970 in  Lowyat.net Garage Sales for around ~RM800, you'll get slightly better performance with that i5-2400 rig compare to R9-390.

Intel Core i5-4460 Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.40 GHz) LGA1150

if i upgrade to this can it work fine?
