Hello,

I have 2 cards in SLI,and the top one always reaches 90 degrees,

so i opened my case, put an external fan and run a test, and it doesn't pass 75 degrees,

so i need a fan that will disperse the hot air between the 2 cards, any suggestions for a good fan?

and would a 70 CFM fan be sufficient?

Do you mean a fan on your side panel, because your case doesn't have mounts

I can try and mode it with some string to stay in the drive bay area,so it would be directly in front of the 2 cards.

i manged to do it with a 120mm fan,but it only has 35 CFM so it doesn't do much.

Cougar also makes pretty high CFM fans up to around 100CFM. 70 CFM is not bad imo.

Delta

By the way you can't rely on fan specs, ever. Every maker lies/inaccurately measures fan specs.

I mainly have scythe noctua and corsair in the store i can buy from,

would a scythe gentle typhoon be good?there is one here with 4250 RPM and like 120 CFM

there is also a scythe slip stream 140XT 1700 RPM who does like 90 CFM,

can any of those be good?

What's your current setup? A diagram would be nice. Also, I have no clue what size of fans you are looking for.

We need more info. What fans do you have? What case? What graphics cards and how much space are between them? How did you orientate the fan when you put it on the side panel?

What are you looking for in a fan? Deltas move insane amounts of air but sounds like a jet engine...

my rig is in my sig but ok,case is nzxt 410 elite, graphic cards 660 sli, there is a 2 pci slots between them as you can see here:http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4518#ov

the fan isn't on the side panel its between the 2 sides of the drive bay cage,

it draws air from 2 of the front fans and blows it between the cards, but ofcourse its not a big CFM so it doesn't manage to move the air between the 2 cards.

i need a 120\140mm fan.

right now both of the cards are at full speed so they make alot of noise,im pretty sure a single fan would be less noisy+im usually wearing headphones so i can't here a thing while gaming.

Are they reference design or non reference design cards? Sorry I didn't see your signature  ;)

they are non reference:pressshot.jpg

the top one is always the hottest one.

they even reached 95 while playing crysis 3 on max settings.

i usually play bf3 and there is a command to limit the fps to 60 and i turn off AA so the card wont pass 80,but still i would like to play with highest settings.

the last solution is to always run the external fan

Well it barely has any space between the two cards so I guess that's what makes it run so hot. I would get a fan with static pressure to push the air into the tiny gap between the cards. An airflow optimised fan will blow air onto the cards but it won't go into the gap.

How much are you willing to spend on a fan? I would get a Gelid Silent Series if you are on a low budget. For $~15 I would get a Cougar HDB. For $20 or more I would get a Be Quiet! Silent Wings 2.

The shop the im going to buy from doesn't have those fans,

I would get a Noctua F12 or Scythe Gentle Typhoons if they have them. Corsair fans are not that good. Antec is pretty bad.

there are noctua f12 but i the color scheme is to bad...

there are scythe gentle typoons 3000 rpm 83 CFM,and 4350 rpm 116 CFM,would they be a good choice?

Yes because the noctuaonesare optimized for silence rathr thanairflow I would go with the . Because the 4250pm one is a lot louder and does give you that much more airflow.

Well since you are using headphones, noise won't be an issue to you anyways. Just get which ever one is cheaper. The 300RPM ones are the slowest it spins?

The 1850 provides enough airflow. You would only need 3000 rpm if you are blowing through something like a wall.

this is how my current setup looks like(sorry for the quality) : http://gyazo.com/f8226e5d7d525e65e3e92f45c12170ac.png

you 100% sure 1850 rpm will be enough? sorry but i really want to make sure :P
